The Beginning...

If you're not into this entry; please feel free to bypass it. It'll only make me cry a little. /emo

Rewind to 09/11/2001: The planes hit and what was starting to be a budding business of mine tumbled just like the Towers did. Luckily Amy was making enough money at her job that it wasn't a ruinous event for us. But by December I was tired of Driving from the Westside of Pensacola to Ft. Walton Beach everyday to a job that barely paid for the gas to and from said job. The only thing that kept me going over there was the fact that the people I worked with were some of the coolest people I had ever known, I had the freedom to dress and look as I pleased and most importantly(for the purposes of this Blog); I loved driving.
At some point after Thanksgiving I was brainstorming for a way I could make money while still retaining my identity AND that included driving. I toyed with the idea of Truck Driving. I even applied to and was accepted to a Training School. But the thought of being away from home for weeks(or months) at a time was depressing. Not to mention I didn't fit the conventional Truck Driver mold(not that I'm into molds but it played a part). So then I contemplated local delivery for a mainstream company such as Coca-Cola or Budweiser. The driving was there but the keeping of my identity part wasn't. Scratch that.
Then I found myself in Books-A-Million one day browsing through a Small Business magazine and saw a small entry about creating a courier service that ran papers and documents for businesses. That sounded a bit promising so I did a bit of market research. I started searching the Pensacola News Journal for other courier companies that were trying to drum up business or were hiring. That's when I ran across an ad Yellow Cab Drivers. Did they wear uniforms and look like sheeple? I had no idea. Did I choose my own schedule? Again, no idea. I had to find out. Picked up the phone and dialed 433-3333....

Tune in next time for the exciting conclusion of "The Beginning..." (Part 2)

Anybody care to read...

about how I got into and stayed into Cab Driving? Or do you just want me to skip right to all the sordid shit?

Always Pay your Cab Fare...ALWAYS!

Or you'll end up like this sniveling chick.

New Title Image

I found, uploaded and altered(like a first grader) a new picture for the top of the Blog.
You like it?
It sucks?
The pic is cool but you suck at editing?
You'd rather have a picture of the actual cab that I drive?
Let me know.
